Mental Health & Wellbeing & Coronavirus

We in Dumfries and Galloway NHS Clinical Psychology Services wanted to connect with you all, including current service users and wider members of the public, in these stressful times in which we find ourselves.

We know that there are many resources already circulating to help with mental health and wellbeing.  This is wonderful, but when we are feeling overwhelmed it can, frankly, be overwhelming to be bombarded with too much information. So, we have created this new site with tabs you can press which will take you to links, apps, reading materials and so on that we think could be useful. We hope that having them all in one place where you can dip in and out of them as you want will be helpful for you.

If you feel that you need specialist advice please contact your GP by telephone or contact 111 out of hours.  If you know someone who does not have access to the internet but would find some of these things helpful then please help them to use the materials in whatever ways would work for them. Please also feel free to direct people to our site.

If you are worried about the safety of any person living in Dumfries and Galloway, then please contact the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 030 33 33 3001 or Social Work Out of Hours on 01387 273 660.

In the meantime, take care of yourselves and know that we haven’t forgotten about you. We will get our service back to normality as soon as we possibly can.

With best wishes to you all,

Dr Louise Cumbley, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Director of NHS Dumfries and Galloway Department of Psychological Services.
